316LVM (UNS S31673) is a medical-grade Stainless Steel that is vacuum arc remelted to maximize corrosion resistance and provide a ferrite-free microstructure. It is specifically designed for medical and surgical applications, offering excellent biocompatibility.
This version contains higher nickel and lower carbon content than standard 316L, making it highly suitable for medical implants, devices, and bone screws that encounter bodily fluids or harsh sterilization processes. It offers high tensile strength, good ductility, and low magnetic permeability.
